“Sustainability is treating both ourselves and the planet with the future in mind.”
Vaguely-Vogue was set up with this quote in mind. Vaguely Vogue is all about how to lead a healthy lifestyle for optimal well-being, while also being sustainable and looking out for the planet too.
There’s so much out there to help us have a good diet, or do exercise, but what about our mind? We have around 6,000 thoughts per day. I know, kinda crazy, right? The mind is a complex, fascinating matter. With so much incredible content related to physical health, Vaguely Vogue puts an emphasis on a holistic approach to health in order to feel good inside and out.
And as for the planet, I feel passionate about finding and implementing new sustainable ideas. There’s no planet B, so it’s time to spread some inspirational content on how we can embark on a journey towards saving the planet.
Health + Wellbeing
I feel passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle, though it hasn’t always been that way. Growing up, I used to pig out on junk and barely get my 5-a-day. Thankfully, I discovered the importance of a healthy lifestyle when I embarked on my studies at Loughborough University, the leading UK sports University. I learned about the benefits of a healthy diet and staying active and I am forever grateful for that experience.
Upon graduating I kinda hit this wall. As a 20-something-year-old, I fully felt the fledge of fleeting emotions and inner battles. After leaving education, there’s so much pressure to know what you want, embark on a successful career path, find the right partner, make investments, etc. Luckily, in the middle of all of that turbulence, I learned so much. I’m from England, but I moved to Spain after graduating. I am grateful to be blessed with the Mediterranean climate, beautiful sandy beaches, and mountains at my doorstep, though my mind doesn’t always see the joyful side of things.
I can be the first to criticise my words and actions, but I’m learning. There are so many tips and tricks to stop us from falling into bad habits and adopt a holistic approach to health. At first, I just didn’t really understand that concept. Thankfully, I am on the path to change and I hope to share the ins and outs of how to feel good on the inside and out.
Sustainability and The Planet
One day I came across something that changed my entire perspective on the planet. As I was watching the One Strange Rock documentary, which talks about the wonders and fragility of our planet, one of the astronauts regarded the Earth as our home. They said that it’s not the city you live in or the country you were brought up in, but the planet that we step on and wake up on every day. It’s a beautiful one full of diversity and natural beauty beyond belief.
There’s no backup planet Earth. For this reason, I believe in following a sustainable lifestyle and doing things with the planet in mind. We can reverse climate change and restore the planet to its former glory. I hope to share the sustainable wisdom I learn along the way with you all.
Lots of love,
